RAMADHAN IMSAKIYAH SCHEDULE IN 2020

RAMADHAN IMSAKIYAH SCHEDULE IN 2020

Muslims in Indonesia is quite familiar with the word "Ruling , Imsakiyah or Schedule Ramadhan 2020 when dat ng his holy month of Ramadan in 2020 There was the sound of the "sours" which originated from the mosques and mosques, a sign that in the near future dawn will soon arrive. A phenomenon that only exists in Indonesia. In society in general, there are differences in interpreting this time. Some people consider that the time to start fasting is at the time of the second dawn (dawn shodiq) or when the dawn prayer comes. But some people again view that the ruling time is a sign that the suhoor time is up and at that moment they start fasting. The question is whether the ruling time is a sign that the dawn time has ended so that at that time our limit is to end eating and drinking? How do fiqh scholars in regulating it so that there are differences in society?

The word "Imsak" or "Imsakiyah" as contained in the 2020 Ramadhan Imsakiyah Schedule comes from Arabic which means to hold. In addition, it can also be interpreted with a miser / stingy or griping. In Arabic, "rhetoric" can also be interpreted as a syllable form that shows that a person holds his property and does not spend it. In terms of, the notion of "ruling" which is commonly understood is to start to stop eating suhoor so as not to be missed until dawn. The term 'Ruling' did not exist at the time of the Prophet Muhammad. However, Habib Hasan bin Ahmad bin Saalim al-Kaaf in "at-Taqriiraat as-Sadiidah fil Masaa-ilil Mufiidah" states: "And extending the ruling (refraining) from eating and drinking (ie reciting) is mandub (pronounced) before dawn, about the amount of time needed to read 50 verses (about a quarter of an hour)".

Like the command of the Prophet Muhammad, sahur is a sign of fasting of a Muslim and is a divider between our fasting and the fasting of the People of the Book. Well, during Ramadan we usually find that there are time limits for people who will fast to stop eating and drinking when dawn. This is termed Ruling. Ruling time is set around ten minutes before the morning prayer.

Usually in order to avoid this crackdown, many Muslims start eating the meal before the dawn. There are even people who wake up after the Ruling does not eat at all because they think that eating and drinking after Ruling is not allowed. So, how is the response of Ruling according to Islam?

Please note if the determination of the time limit for the pre-dawn meal before the dawn azan (imsak) is contrary to various authentic propositions in the Koran and the Sunnah. In the Al-Quran and Sunnah explains that the final limit of the time of dawn is when the dawn of Sadiq or when entering the dawn prayer. Here are a few propositions that explain it: "Eat and drink you until it is clear to you that the white thread is from the black thread, that is the dawn." [Surah Al-Baqarah: 187]

Well, from the verse it is clearly concluded that the limitation to eat the meal is after the entry of the Morning Prayer. In addition, in the Hadith of Abdullah bin Umar Radhiallahu 'anhuma, that the Messenger of Allah said: "Verily Bilal echoed the call to prayer (first) at night. Then eat and drink until Ibn Ummi Maktum echoes the (second) call to prayer. " [HR Al Bukhari (617) and Muslim (1092)]

In the hadith it is explained clearly that the meal may be carried out as long as the second azan or the Fajr adhan has not been echoed. If the dawn call to prayer has already been declared, it means that the dawn time is over.

From some of the above collection can be concluded if in fact in Islam there is no specific time setting. Literally, "Ruling" means refraining from things that break fasting from dawn to dawn. However, in Indonesia there is a perception that the time of Ruling is the time when it must start fasting by stopping eating and drinking and things that break the fast.

While for the Ruling time that we have been familiar with is only a sign ahead of the dawn. Usually around 10-15 minutes before the dawn call to prayer. We are still allowed to eat and drink even after entering the Ruling Time. But it would be nice if we were getting ready to finish our food and drink for the sake of the validity of fasting, as well as getting ready to perform the Fajr prayer.

If we look at the Ramadan Imsakiyah Schedule for 2020which we usually encounter, there is also an Ruling time. This is one of the forms of caution of the Indonesian ulemas in determining the problem for Muslims in Indonesia. It can be imagined if our scholars do not set the time of Ruling. A person who is enjoying his dawn meal, because he does not know what time the dawn arrives, he will be confused when suddenly he hears the dawn call to prayer while in his mouth there is food ready to be swallowed. Therefore, it is right that the rule of thumb becomes the benchmark for stopping eating and drinking as a form of caution. This is also in line with the rules stated by Shaykh Ali As-Shabuni, a Mufassir from Syria who stated: "Matters of worship should contain caution."

According to some people, the rule of thumb is a form of caution so that when we take food, we do not enter the time that is prohibited from drinking and eating. In the hadith narrated by Imam Bukhoari RA from Zaid bin Sabbit it was explained that he and the Prophet Muhammad performed the sahur, then Rasulullah SAW stood to offer prayers. The contents of the hadith state: "Have told us Muslims bin Ibrahim, have told us Hisham, have told us Qatadah, from Anas, from Zayd ibn Thabit RA he said We were sahur with the Prophet SAW then the Prophet stood praying. I asked: "How much time between the call to prayer and the meal (at that time)?" He answered: about reading 50 verses (Qur'an). "

In addition Imam Shafi'i, as in the book of Al Umm, said: "I am happy (assessing mustahab) slowly / not in a hurry in carrying out the meal, while not arriving at a time close to the time that the dawn is feared, I like to stop the meal at during that time "

In addition, an Egyptian mufti named Shaykh Hasanain Muhammad Makhluf with his fatwa responded to the hadith of Zaid bin Thabit with the fatwa as follows: "From the hadith, it is known that the ruling is not mandatory except before the dawn, and that the mustahab (sunnah) should be carried out between the dawn and the dawn of about 50 verses, and it is estimated 10 minutes. "

That is why as a form of caution, it is better we have stopped eating and drinking when the Ruling Schedule has arrived.
