Monas or Tugu Monas is a 132-meter (433 ft) memorial monument built to
commemorate the resistance and struggle of the Indonesian people in winning
independence from the Dutch East Indies colonial government. The establishment
of this monument began on August 17, 1961 under the administration of President
Sukarno, and was opened to the general public on July 12, 1975. The top of the
monument was equipped with a flame that was coated with gold sheets as a symbol
of the burning spirit of struggle. The National Monument is located right
in the middle of Medan Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta.Monas is one of the
favorite tourist attractions and is open every day from 08.00 - 15.00
WIB. On Monday the last week of each month is closed to the public.

Istiqlal Mosque
Istiqlal Mosque: Istiqlal Mosque is the state mosque of the Republic of Indonesia which is located in the center of the capital Jakarta. Istiqlal Mosque is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. The establishment of this mosque was initiated by the then President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno where the installation of the first stone, as a symbol of the commencement of the construction of the Istiqlal Mosque was carried out by Ir. Soekarno on August 24, 1951.
Frederich Silaban is the architect of the Istiqlal Mosque. The mosque carries a modern architectural style with marble floors and walls, decorated with geometric ornaments of stainless steel. The main building of the mosque was crowned by a large dome with a diameter of 45 meters and supported by 12 large poles. The single tower with a total height of 96.66 meters rises in the south corner of the mosque's hallway.This mosque has a congregation capacity of more than two hundred thousand people.
Jakarta Cathedral Church
Gereja Gereja Jakarta: Or Patron Santa Maria Appointed to Heaven, De Kerk van Onze Lieve Vrouwe ten Hemelopneming is a church in Central Jakarta. The church building was inaugurated in 1901 and was founded in the European neo-gothic architectural style, which is an architecture commonly used for building church buildings several centuries ago. The church is currently designed and started by Father Antonius Dijkmans and the symbolic placement of the first stone was carried out by Provicaris Carolus Wenneker.
This development was later carried out by Cuypers-Hulswit when Dijkmans no longer worked on it, and was later inaugurated and blessed on April 21, 1901 by Msgr. Edmundus Sybradus Luypen, SJ, Vicar Apostolic of Jakarta. The cathedral which is now known is actually not the original church building in the place, because the original Cathedral was inaugurated in February 1810, but on July 27, 1826 the Church's building burned along with 180 houses of the surrounding residents. Then on May 31, 1890, the Church had also collapsed. Immanuel Church Jakarta
Immanuel Church Jakarta: Initially was a church founded on the agreement between the Reformed people and the Lutherans in Batavia.Its construction began in 1834 following the design of JH Horst. Textile Museum : The building itself was originally a private house of a French citizen built in the 19th century. Then it was bought by a Turkish consul named Abdul Azis Almussawi Al Katiri who lived and settled in Indonesia. Then in 1942 it was sold to Dr. Karel Christian Cruq. During the Indonesian struggle for independence, this building was once the headquarters of the People's Security Front (BKR) and in 1947 was occupied by Lie Sion Pin.
