CUSTOMER OF PREPAID CARDS IN INDONESIA MUST REGISTRATION |
The Ministry of
Communications enforces Prepaid Cellular Number Registration using Master
Identification Number (NIK) and Family Card Number (KK).
The Prepaid Cellular
Register is:
New Registration Number
Prime
Re-register Older Number
New Registration and
Re-registration is done independently by submitting in accordance with the SMS
Registration and Re-Registration format specified by the Cellular Operator.
Any SMS New Registration and
Re-Registration will be given an answer or confirmation by Mobile Operator
whether the New Registration SMS and Re-registration are declared valid or
invalid.

The customer will get
confirmation from the Operator within 1x24 hours. Confirmation confirms the
truth of the SMS format, the validity of NIK and the KK.
Additional Procedures:
If the SMS is declared
invalid, then the customer needs to check and check the SMS Data
Re-registration format NIK & KK numbers are filled in. Make sure everything
is correct and use a valid NIK & KK number (your own). Then do SMS
Re-Register again.
If the SMS format, the NIK
data & KK ID is correct and valid but still invalid, then the same SMS
Registration (determined 5 times SMS), the subscriber will receive a
notification in the form of SMS or SMS popup containing the statement so that
the customer can declare NIK & KK ID that is filled is correct and valid.
The customer must either agree or disregard the statement. If the customer
agrees, the customer expresses the legal responsibility for the NIK & KK ID
that has been filled in. Then Old Number will remain active.
Explanations Registration of
Prepaid Card:

New Registration SMS and Re-registration are free
•
Access number 4444 is the number leading to the system in each Mobile Operator.
•
NIK and No. fielding KK is forwarded and validated by Dukcapil Ministry of Home
Affairs online, as a validation process.
•
NIK data and KK numbers are guaranteed to be safe considering that Cellular
Operator already has ISO 27001 and also there is a Minister of Communications
and Informatics Regulation on Protection of Personal Data.
•
Children and Adolescents who are not ID cards how to register? Children and
adolescents even though they do not have ID cards but all have NIK listed in KK
Family Card. So children and teenagers can register their number. Of advice to
be known and assisted by his parents.

Filling in the Registration data with NIK and No. Unauthorized person's CO is
an illegal act that can be categorized as a criminal offense.
•
How about not doing Registration, is it sanctioned?
•
For Initial SIM Card, starting October 31, if you do not make New Registration
of prime card number with format using NIK and KK, then the number will not be
active.
•
For Old SIM Card:
•
from 31 October may re-register and be granted until 28 February 2018.
•
If Re-Registration is not made until February 28, 2018 ?:
•
Given a grace period for Re-Registration s.d. March 30, 2018 for, if not done
then Calls and Outgoing SMS are disabled.
•
If registration is not done s.d. April 14, 2018, then Plus Calls and Incoming
SMS are disabled, in addition to Calls and Outbound SMS.
•
Lastly, if registration is not done s.d. April 29, 2018, the number will be
totally disabled.
•
Why is registration done again? while previously already registered with ID
card data?
•
Currently, NIK and No KK data can be validated because the Government cq
Ministry of Home Affairs is ready with IT ecosystem for Electronic ID card. By
Mobile Operator, SMS New Registration and Re-Registration will be forwarded to
the Ministry of Home Affairs to be checked electronically whether the data
input valid or invalid.

The new Registration and Re-Registration will maintain the validity of the
customer's identity so that convenience as a customer of telecommunication
services will occur and also be protected.
•
Long before registration has not been completed with validation process as
above.
•
There is a limit on the number of Prepaid Numbers that a Registration can be
made via SMS or as a Self-Registration (also through a web operator) ie every
one NIK is limited to a Maximum 3 Prepaid Numbers for each Mobile Operator. If
Customer wants a fourth Prepaid number and so on from the same Mobile Operator,
the Registrations may be made by visiting the Mobile Operator Center.
•
New Registration and Re-registration for Foreign Citizens can only be done by
visiting the Mobile Operator Center using Passport identity, Stay Permit Card
(KITAP) and or Temporary Stay Permit Card (KITAS).
•
As one form of socialization Cellular Operator sends SMS broadcast to all of
its Customer Number which contains SMS format and other information guide.
